Tokunbo Carew holds a B.Sc degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering (1983) from the University of Ife, Nigeria to which he added an MBA degree from the University of Lagos in 1987. His post-graduation work experience cuts across the public and private sectors of the Nigerian economy. After compulsory One Year National service at the Federal Capital Development Authority (FCDA) in Abuja, he joined The Federal Ministry of Works & Housing in Lagos, where he worked on construction projects and supervision of public buildings. At the Japanese International Trading firm of Sumitomo Corporation, he traded in Industrial goods and services between the advanced Japanese economy and the developing Nigerian industrial sector before joining Arco Petrochemical Engineering Co. Ltd., an indigenous Oil & Gas Service Company in 1989. By the year 2008 when he left Arco to manage Fossil TMV Services, he had risen to the position of Executive Director (Sales & Marketing) making his contributions to the strategic formulation framework of the company. His wealth of experience gained from technical Operations, Business Development and Commercial Portfolios, combined with his ability to analyse complex issues and recommend viable solutions made him one of the props of the organisation which he served meritoriously as a principal player (from conception, through tender to execution) on several large ticket projects that formed the core experience profile of the company. Today, he serves on the board of Arco as a Non-Executive Director making further contributions at the Board level to corporate Governance. With in-depth knowledge of local & global developments in Industry & Commerce, he founded Fossil TMV Services Ltd., a company that provides goods and consultancy services to the Oil, Gas, construction and Power industries. He is an entrepreneur with interests in several Sectors, including the food and beverages Industry. He is widely travelled and has participated in several professional and executive training and development programmes within and outside Nigeria, including the Senior Management Programme (SMP) at the International Institute for Management Development (IMD), Lausanne, Switzerland. He is a recipient of the Old Grammarian Society merit award for his contributions to the growth of his Alma Mater, CMS Grammar School, Lagos, Nigeria. He is a member of the “Nigerian Gas Association”, “American Institute of Electronic & Electrical Engineers” (IEEE), “Nigerian Society of Engineers” (NSE) and the “Nigerian Institute of Management” (NIM). As the CEO of the West Africa Region of EPIC, he brings to bear his wealth of experiences and network of contacts in several industries on the growing business of EPIC Learning & Development in the sub-region.
